INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS

Anyone can apply for Christmas for Kids who is in financial need of help during the Holiday season. All applications are reviewed by Christmas for Kids for financial need, list is compared with other assistance programs in the area to ensure that no family is duplicated with assistance and that there are no family or organization that is taken advantage of due to the extreme need of so many in the community. If it is apparent that you meet all financial criteria and are not receiving assistance from any other Christmas program, then Christmas for Kids will grant approval and inform you of your approval status and later delivery date. Consideration will be given for your child's likes and interests.

Make sure if you are approved and given a delivery date that your contact information is current. A volunteer will call before delivery is made to make sure an adult is present to sign for the gifts.

All children, ages birth to 18 years of age, (as long as they are still in school) are eligibie.

Christmas for Kids does not promise to supply any certain gifts. We run on donations for all our gifts given. We will try to give each child some clothing and a couple of toys or items of interest depending on the age of the child apply. Asking for specific gifts does not mean that your child will receive that item or guaranteed that gift for your child if application is approved.

Christmas for Kids is a program ran by HIS Ministry, Inc with co-directors Dawn Kirby and Debi Ford. HIS Ministry, Inc is a not-for-profit organization (501-C3). All donations are tax deductible. Any questions or for more information please contact us at 217-251-2944.

Once you have been notified of approval for the program you will be contated with a deliver date. If you are not available for delivery we will attempt to deliver twice and contact you then for pick up. If you are unable to pick up the donation in a timely manner you will forfeit the donation to your family.

Duplication on many organizations assisting lists may result in the inabilty to approve your request for help. Since the need is big and there are many organizations in the community who help with Christmas assistance, all applications approved will be compared with other organizations so no family is getiting left out and so no family is receiving more than they actually need.

Your privacy is especially important to use and we will not disclose to anyone other than those in direct relationship to the approval and assignment of your application and Christmas for Kids case.

By submitting this application you are verifying all information given is truthful and right to all your knowledge and give permission to Christmas for Kids and HIS Ministry, Inc to contact you, your employer, any other organizations that you may have applied for with any information or questions needed to process your application and fulfill this request to the best of our ability to serve your family's needs and the needs of the community.
